Irene Rojo is an architect by Madrid’s Technical School of Architecture (ETSAM). After graduating in 2004, she began her professional career in Australia, where she worked at Nicholas Dunn + Associates, participating in projects of different scales, such as the Christ Church School in Sydney.

Since joining luis vidal + architects in 2007, Irene has led and contributed to numerous large-scale projects, establishing herself as an expert in office and urban planning. Among her most outstanding works in the corporate sector are Castellana 77, the Palmas Altas Technology Campus in collaboration with RSHP, C33 Corporate Tower and Fit Out projects, and the emblematic New Colón Towers, a benchmark in design and sustainability. Its experience also includes hospital projects, such as the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital, and cultural developments such as the Botín Centre in collaboration with RPBW. In addition, he has made strategic contributions to major urban transformations, such as Madrid Nuevo Norte Masterplan, and one of the finalist proposals for the New Chamartín-Clara Campoamor Multimodal Station. Her ability to tackle projects of high complexity and typological diversity positions her as an associate director and key figure in the luis vidal + architects team.

Irene is an expert in environmental sustainability, being an accredited assessor in certifications such as BREEAM ES and LEED. She has complemented her training with specialisation studies in Eco Urbanisation and Urban and Local Sustainability at the Autonomous University of Madrid, as well as advanced courses in wellbeing, smart cities and energy efficiency.
She stands out for her ability to lead large, international and multidisciplinary teams, managing complex projects, with a constant focus on environmental responsibility and innovation.

Francisco Rojo is a Spanish architect specializing in urban planning who graduated from ETSAM in 1992. He joined the luis vidal + architects team in 2008, where he is Associate Director and Design Director.

In his more than 30 years of intense dedication to architecture, his work has always been linked to design, to its conceptual approach, as well as to the process of its technical and constructive definition. Francisco also leads and coordinates multidisciplinary teams responsible for project development in both the definition and construction phases.

His involvement in singular projects, with strong conceptual and aesthetic requirements, high-performance demands and great technical complexity, gives him a unique design capacity.

His portfolio includes a wide range of typologies, whether in the cultural field, with projects such as the Loyola University Campus in Seville, the Botín Center in Santander, the León Centre in Santo Domingo and the Chagual Botanical Garden in Santiago; in the transport field, with several airport terminals in which he has participated, such as Terminal T4 at Madrid-Barajas Airport, Terminal 2 at Heathrow, Terminal E at Boston Logan International Airport (USA) and the Cibao International Airport in Santiago de los Caballeros (Dominican Republic). He has also worked on health sector projects, especially at the Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital in Vigo. All of these projects, either because of their scale or their program, are distinguished by their high differential value and added quality.
