Our Transport Architecture portfolio includes over 15 international airport projects, with a particular stake in Heathrow Terminal 2 (London). Inaugurated in 2014, it has received 26 awards, including the prestigious Air Transport World (ATW) Airport of the Year Award 2015 and the World’s Best Public Building Award 2014-2015. It is also the first large terminal building to achieve a BREEAM Excellent rating for its sustainable design.
luis vidal + architects has other highly recognized projects, such as Vigo’s New Hospital in Galicia (Winner of the 2012 Design & Health International Awards in the Future Health Project category, and one of the few healthcare buildings with BREEAM certification); the Can Misses Hospital Property Award (Balearic Islands), the Palmas Altas Campus, (Seville) headquarters of Abengoa, (Winner of the RIBA Award 2010 and the first building in Europe certified LEED Platinum) in co-authorship with RSHP, and the Botín Center in co-authorship with RPBW.
