Francisco Sanjuán
Design Director
Francisco Sanjuán has been Managing Partner and Design Director at luis vidal + architects since 2007, when he joined the team in the design of Heathrow Airport Terminal 2.
He is a Senior Architect, with a Master’s in Building Management and has taken various courses in energy efficiency, sustainability, building refurbishment, healthcare architecture, etc., always focused on technical aspects of architecture.
His background includes many highly complex airport and building projects. He is a BREEAM Advisor and has worked on the LEED certification process for multiple projects. His responsibilities include the supervision of construction processes and the coordination of multidisciplinary teams during all the phases of the construction process. He has participated in the design and construction of numerous airport projects, hospitals, offices and high-complexity buildings. He is a BREEAM Advisor and has worked in the LEED and WELL certification process of multiple projects.
His responsibilities include the supervision of construction processes, structures, HVAC systems and the coordination of multidisciplinary teams at all project stages. He has participated in the design and construction of the Ciudad de las Ciencias de Valencia, Santa Cruz de Tenerife Fairgrounds and Auditorium, Madrid Barajas Terminals 4 and 4S, Heathrow International Airport Terminal 2, Warsaw International Airport, Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport in Santiago de Chile, Pittsburgh International Airport, Boston Logan International Airport Terminal E, Can Misses Hospital in Ibiza, Álvaro Cunqueiro Hospital in Vigo, Castellana 77 office building and Loyola University Campus, among others.
