Crews are installing the structural ‘trees’ which are part of the unique design for the new terminal being constructed at Pittsburgh International Airport. As part of the vision design created by luis vidal + architects, the trees symbolize the natural beauty of the Pittsburgh region. In his vision, the new airport terminal design will mirror the blooming strength (Nature), the spirit of prosperity (Technology) and the vibrant vitality (Community) of the Pittsburgh region = NaTeCo.

The new project is a design partnership by Gensler + HDR in association with luis vidal + architects.
