A graduate of Architecture from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, his interest in and commitment to the environment led him to pursue a Master’s degree in Environment and Bioclimatic Architecture from the UPM Construction department, where he achieved the highest qualification and the extraordinary end-of-Master’s award.

He has been part of luis vidal + architects since 2006, actively participating in major international projects, such as Campus Palmas Altas, a large 80,000m² office complex developed in association with the British firm RSH+P, built in Seville, which obtained LEED Platinum Certification, being the first building in Europe to achieve this rating.

In 2015, he moved to Santiago, Chile, to serve as the Technical Architecture Director for the detailed engineering development of the Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport Expansion Project, moving permanently to Santiago in 2016 to take on the role of Technical and Production Manager for the local office of luis vidal + architects. Since 2021, he also held the position of General Manager, playing a key role in all of the studio’s projects in LATAM.

During this period, the Santiago office continued to develop large airport, hospital, and master planning projects, including the Matta Sur Community Center and CESFAM, the Marga Marga New Provincial Hospital, the Chagual Botanical Garden, the aforementioned Arturo Merino Benítez International Airport, the Preliminary Project for the Andrés Sabella Airport in Antofagasta, the Cauquenes, Constitución, and Parral Hospitals for the Maule Network, and, more recently, the National Institute of Neurosurgery in Santiago, among others.

At the end of 2023, he returned to Madrid, where he currently serves as the Head of Quality Assurance, overseeing the coherence and consistency of all the studio’s projects and ensuring they meet the design expectations of both luis vidal + architects and the client.

luis vidal + architects has solidified its position over the last 20 years as an international reference firm in large-scale infrastructure design, with a strong specialization in the hospital sector. Its approach integrates cutting-edge design, sustainability, and humanization, providing efficient solutions to major challenges by merging healthcare innovation with airport design expertise.
