Pittsburgh International Airport Breaks Ground

The Pittsburgh International Airport is closer to becoming a reality for millions of users, after holding the Groundbreaking ceremony yesterday, October 14, 2021, and marking the starting signal for the start of the terminal modernization works. The event was attended by Luis Vidal and representatives of Gensler, HDR and ACAA, in which a press conference was held before different local and national media outlets that echoed the news.
The airport, which will have an area of 633,000 sqft. when the works are completed, will have a new design with the capacity to meet all the growth forecasts for airlines and passenger traffic, being capable of processing between 12-18 million passengers per year.
