The Practice

proyectos / Transportation / LANZAROTE AIRPORT

Lanzarote Airport

There are some key premises which generated this project, namely Lanzarote’s rough silhouettes shaping its volcanic landscape, the immediate proximity of the sea as well as its enjoyment and perception by our senses, but also the highest flexibility of a layout of parallel strips which includes a check-in, a processor and a dock.

Thus arises a harmonious container, facing the organic forms of the sea and mountain backdrop made of volcanic rocks, as a differentiating element that mediates between the gentle waves and the rocky backdrop, trapping inside the friendly island light.

Two different worlds with their own rules, linked together: airspace and land zoning
