Social Housing - Vallecas

The project stems from the desire to distort the existent urban grid in response to the absence of an environment. A total of 93 subsidized housing units are being designed, of which 90% have two and three bedrooms. The housing buildings are wrapped in a winding skin that protects them and gives them a unique character.

Like a sinuous thread that runs through the building, the wooden slats increase or reduce their density depending on what they 'find' in their way: balconies, openings, etc. Thus, the bamboo skirt slides down until it meets the ground level, serving to enclose the plot itself. Inside, a private courtyard garden provides access to the three entrances.
