Daroca Housing

Housing is a reflection of our lifestyle, which is continuously evolving, and has to respond to an architecture must: flexibility and sustainability. Dwellings have to approach the different ways of living through flexibility, and at the same time must make an effort to be sustainable. The continuous adaptation to nowadays more and more changeable housing situations is achieved through a constant flexibility along the whole house.

The Plus House is an architectural and space-concept response that adapts to a wide range of family structures and lifestyles by the creation of a “Plus space”.

The Plus Space is a multitasking space where to accommodate all the activities related to the different ways of inhabiting homes.
Autonomous and integrable, it can transform into a professional office, a temporary bedroom, a dining-room, a playing area or an articulating area for bigger areas of the house such as a bedroom or the living-room.

The Plus Space can be located next to a bedroom, the living-room or in between both, in order to use this area independently or as an extension of any of the rooms mentioned.

In conclusion, the aim of the Plus Space is to transform our current house-concept into the 21st century´s new and diverse ways of living; and therefore to create a functional, changeable and flexible house that generates flexible, clean, bright and tidy spaces able to provide for a healthy and confortable life.
