While it is understood that the main objective for this competition was Zara’s recently acquired building in Via del Corso in Rome, we also believe that by means of this building we can approach and propose a new way of looking at Zara stores and their interiors (including, but not limited to, the finishes and furnishings).
This design strategy aims to create greater diversity within the Zara chain, taking into account the scale of each store and its specific construction elements. Why not take different design approaches for stores according to their size? Why not create a more flexible proposal in order to have all stores S, M, L, XL, all of them different but clearly from the same family? Maybe there could even be a Mini Z.
