The project proposes a response to the constraints of the site, which is strongly characterized by its topographic condition with respect to the river and its urban boundary position regarding the city.
Taking as the starting point the existence of a green belt linking the adjacent sites, not forgetting the presence of the large slope open to the south, the project was born with the aim of offering a low profile, respectful of its environment as a green carpet that acts as base for the whole program, crowned by a remarkable part that becomes a reference for the city.
A new topography is developed in order to host the main parts of the program, such as Emergencies, Outpatient Services, and Assistance Support Units, with access to these areas from the “Green Carpet” level, giving rise to landscaped slopes that shape the area around the buildings.
The building is highly integrated with the surroundings and at the same time represents a benchmark for the growth of the new city.
