The Chilean Public Construction Ministry, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and the Healthcare System of Viña del Mar, asked luis vidal + architects and SWARQ to design a new hospital to be located in the Fifth Region: Quillota Petorca.
The Quillota Petorca design uses a central spine that will allow growth without losing the identity of the building, and also offers great savings in comparison to a double corridor system. The functional areas will face north, the best orientation in the southern hemisphere. This design solution allows natural light into all the rooms.
