Our proposal suggests a very economical, versatile, respectful, functional, and reversible extension of the Villa Alegre Museum.
It recovers the historic image of the mansion of 1873 so that it becomes part of the local culture and provides the museum with a multipurpose outdoor space where a variety of activities can be carried out, and as we do not define the space, it is very versatile.
The refurbishment proposes the design of specific furniture that embraces the diverse amount of exhibits at the museum.
The extension of the museum uses prefabricated elements to solve several functional issues. These elements form a stage space between them, limiting the setting, the public and support for the roof.
The existing architectural spaces are enhanced, as is the architectural and historical value of the house.
Flexible extension for the future while respecting the history
