Since the opening of the office in Santiago de Chile, luis vidal + architects (LUIS VIDAL + ARCHITECTS) has developed several proposals for restoration and intervention over the pre-existing. LUIS VIDAL + ARCHITECTS now adds a new project to their program to contribute to preserving the Chilean culture and heritage: the implementation of the rehabilitation project for Schacht Palace, its auditorium and the adjacent outdoor areas. The palace will become a cultural center with five exhibition halls, workshop rooms, cafeteria and services, among other areas.
In 2005 this emblematic palace, located on New Providence Avenue in Santiago and designed in 1921 by the Austrian architect Alberto Siegel Lubbe, was declared a National Monument in the category of Historical Monuments.
