Abengoa's Campus Palmas Altas, first building with LEED Platinum certification in Europe

The Campus Palmas Altas complex, designed by the Spanish international firm luis vidal + architects in association with RSHP, has been recognized by the United States Green Building Council (USGBC) with the LEED (Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design) Platinum certification. Located in Seville, the building is the headquarters of the new Abengoa offices and has achieved a score of 54 points from a maximum of 61 possible points (LEED-CSV2 and earlier), obtaining the highest score in its category worldwide and being the first LEED Platinum in Europe. 

The Campus Palmas Altas complex has received several awards and recognitions since its inauguration. In 2010 it received the "Excellence in Design" award from the American Institute of Architects. In the same year it also received the "RIBA European Award" and the first prize for Sustainability in Real Estate Investment 2010 awarded by Union Investment Real Estate AG, one of the most important real estate asset management companies in Europe.
